This 1947 letter from the Rheinmetall Borsig works was sent after the administration had been relocated from Breslau to Sömmerda in 1945. This location was in the former Soviet Zone of Germany. This letter was in reply to a former employee's request for her work documents. It also explains that assets were frozen and back wages could not be paid until legal procedures were established. Enclosed with this letter were some of the documents shown above.
